Care for Our Silicone Candle Molds or Soap Molds

Our silicone candle molds have very little maintenance involved. We wash our molds in warm soapy water, air dry and the put the mold in a cool dry place. You can put your mold in a plastic bag to keep out the dirt and dust. To keep it's shape never stack the molds, if you have to stack the molds, place a piece of cardboard between them. If you aren't going to use your mold for sometime, fill the cavity with wax, let cool and then you can put your mold away for the next time. This will help keep the shape of you mold. If you take care of the molds, they will last you for a some time.

Using Our Silicone Molds and Wicking

Our silicone molds are easy to use for the beginner or the advance candle maker. Inserting your wick into your candle with our molds is easy to do. We buy brass rods from the local hardware store, the size of the wick or just a little bit larger. We cut the rod to 7 inches or less, depending on the size of the mold. We insert the rod into the mold (after we find the center of the candle or mold), secure the rod with wooden skewers, pour the wax, let cool, remove the rod with pliers and then remove the candle from the mold.
